Split copper pipe spraying water onto a garage floor

Some plumbing problems don't schedule themselves politely. A burst pipe dumping water into a wall, sewage coming up through a floor drain, no water to the whole house: those are the calls that move to the front.

What counts as an emergency?

  • Active water damage: burst supply line, failed water heater tank, anything still running
  • Sewage backing up into the house
  • No water at all, or a main shutoff that won't close
  • A frozen pipe you suspect burst, even if it's not leaking yet

What doesn't count?

A dripping faucet, a running toilet, one slow drain. Those are normal requests and they'll still get answered fast, they just don't need the urgent flag.

What should I do first?

Find the main shutoff and close it if water is actively running where it shouldn't. That one valve buys you the time it takes a plumber to get there. If the emergency is a gas smell instead of water, leave the building and call Cascade Natural Gas at 888-522-1130 from outside, then 911 if you need to. Gas comes before plumbing.

How fast is the response?

Send the form and mark it urgent, and describe the damage in the message. Pros covering the valley who take urgent calls get those routed first.
